In August 2008, the City of Edmonton launched the Zerofootprint Edmonton Challenge. A part of its thriving EcoVision initiative, the Challenge lets Edmontonians help improve the world by greening their city. Participants are eligible for regular monthly prizes and the grand prize of a Toyoto Prius hybrid for a year. The Challenge is now in its final month, with the final draw occurring on June 1, 2009, and the grand prize winner to be announced at the Edmonton ICLEI World Conference, June 14-18, 2009. |

WHITE BEAR Wine to Aid Great Bear Rainforest Preservation Artisan Wine Co is pleased to announce the launch of WHITE BEAR Wines, at the EPIC sustainable living expo this week. New aromatic BC wine, WHITE BEAR is 100% Okanagan grown and crafted. In partnership with several environmental organizations, the winery has committed to raise awareness and funds for the long term preservation of the Great Bear Rainforest on BC's Central Coast and for the conservation of the Spirit Bear's habitat. Developed solely to support the cause, 15% of sales from this wine will be donated to marine and rainforest conservation in the Great Bear Rainforest with World Wildlife Fund Canada and Tides Canada's White Bear Fund and other partners. |

Greenscape Capital Group congratulates Robert Clark, Executive Chef of Nu, Raincity Grill and C Restaurant on being awarded the 2009 Green Award by the 20th Annual Vancouver Magazine's Restaurant Awards.
Mr. Clark was the creator of the Contemporary Ocean Products brand of all natural salts, crackers, seafood and seasoning products which is now a new wholly owned subsidiary named Contemporary Organic Products Inc. of Greenscape Capital Group.
Clark was the driving force behind the creation of the Vancouver Aquarium's Ocean Wise program and the Spot Prawn Festival and is a cofounder of The Chef's Table Society of BC. He was recognized as Newsmaker of the Year by the Canadian Association of Food Services Professionals and is representing British Columbia later this month at the National Arts Centre's BC Scene in Ottawa.
